Canton Fair organizers signed a series of cooperation agreements with financial organizations, including China Construction Bank, China Export and Credit Insurance Corp, UnionPay International and BOC Credit Card (International) Ltd, which will jointly provide online trade financing, loans and credit grading services for Chinese exporters.
The Canton Fair is one of the largest trade fairs in the world it enables buyers from the US to meet and select suppliers from China. It is held twice a year, once in Spring and once in Fall. The fair is the longest established event of its kind in China and dates back to 1957. Located in the growing and expanding Tianhe District, CITIC Plaza is part of a complex of the same name which also consists of two 38-story residential buildings. Its proximity includes a new train station which serves the extremely busy Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Guangzhou-Hong Kong railways. A new metro station, and the Tianhe Sports Center, where the 6th National Games and parts of the 2010 Asian Games were held. It is on the same Axis as two new building developments in Guangzhou, the first being the East and West Towers in Zhujiang New City and the Pearl Observation tower. It is surrounded by other tall buildings and is a symbol of Guangzhou’s growing wealth and importance. CITIC Plaza is the 8th tallest building in the world and another in the expanding line of Guangzhou’s building achievements. Building here finished in 1996 and it has since become a very noticeable element to Guangzhou’s skyline, as well as a multi-purpose fixture for shopping, restaurants, business, and accommodation. It comprises of a main office building (90 storeys), along with two apartment buildings (34 storeys), and a four storey shopping mall. It is named after the CITIC Group (formerly China International Trust and Investment Company) and is a state-owned enterprise.

CITIC Plaza is an 80-story high-rise building or skyscraper built in Guangzhou, People’s Republic of China. Its structural height is 391 m (1,283 ft) including two tall antennas like spires on the top. When it was completed in 1997, it was the tallest building in the world outside of New York and Chicago.
